Biography

Sophie Hombert is the inventor of an innovative concept known as “plant luminescence”.

After graduating from the Beaux-Arts in Rennes in 2014, the designer began researching the utilitarian role of plants and exploring light phenomena as a new attribute. That same year, she wrote a dissertation entitled The Domestication of Plants, which was later published by the European University Editions (EUA).
She went on to work for design agencies, first in England and then in Lille.

In 2016, she founded the start-up Aglaé, based on this groundbreaking biotechnology, which now employs eight people.
Since 2018, she has also been a lecturer, teaching design thinking and creativity as emerging strategic tools in French business schools, as well as within prestigious companies such as Louis Vuitton, L’Oréal, and Publicis
