Agnès Kek

Biography

She has over 20 years of experience in the Singapore Administrative Service, and has served in diverse portfolios in defence, labour policy, grassroots organisation and social welfare, public service innovation, transportation and creative industry development.

Thanks to a work attachment at the top global design company, IDEO, in San Francisco in 2013, Agnes developed a niche in transforming organisations through people-centred design. Her works spans the entire spectrum from strategy development, business operations to organisational development.

Her experience leading public sector transformation gives her a unique perspective on driving large-scale systems change. Today, her passion is to translate all her practical experience into pragmatic, actionable training for leaders who need to manage complexity.

Agnes has trained over 500 senior executives in complexity management, design thinking and systems thinking with clients such as the Singapore Government, ST Engineering, EY Design Studio (US), non-profit The Equity Initiative. She is also an in-house strategy consultant with the Oceanus Group, a publicly listed food security company, and oversees its global brand development and business transformation efforts. She sits on the Board of Directors for School of Design, University of Cergy-Pontoise, France.

Agnes lives in Paris, France where she enjoys the practice of le flanneur (loosely translated as ‘meandering around the streets for enjoyment’). She enjoys cooking and rock-climbing, and detective TV series.

At CEDEP, Agnes is a faculty member of the Sustainable Value Creation Program.
