What is CEDEP?

CEDEP is an independent not-for-profit executive education club providing a unique and safe space for global leaders to reflect, explore, collaborate, peer-learn, grow and succeed. We are co-run by our international members from diverse and non-competing industries who understand the value of building long-term relationships and tackling real-life business challenges within a collaborative learning community.

We act as a catalyst for leadership change, empowering leaders to shape organisations for a more sustainable and positive future. Our transformational leadership development programs and learning experiences are co-designed with our academic team, members, clients and non-resident faculty from the world’s top business schools.

Based in France, but operating globally, we deliver programs in person from various international locations and online via CEDEP LiVE. We are at the forefront of identifying and responding to emerging global trends with innovative, highly relevant and action-based learning.

Over 50 years ago, Guy Landon and François Dalle, L’Oréal’s head of HR and CEO, respectively, had a vision to create an executive education club of like-minded executives who shared the same humanist philosophy. They were joined by senior executives from several European companies and the result was CEDEP, Europe’s first corporate-founded membership institution dedicated to executive education. 

CEDEP shares its origins and campus with INSEAD, and soon became a unique and forward-thinking learning community where executives could act as a catalyst for change, realise their full potential and awaken a desire to share their knowledge with others.

Today, CEDEP directly employs almost 30 people in program design, support and member relationship roles. The current Chairman of the Board and Managing Director is Thomas Hinterseer.

We are co-run and co-governed by our international member companies from diverse and non-competing industries who are actively engaged in our management, strategy and board within a unique spirit of trust and shared values. With an average membership duration of 15 years, we are built on long-term, close relationships and operate as a collaborative learning community. CEDEP provides a safe space for sharing and collaboration where our members can freely express their current challenges and discover how they are addressed in other industries.

CEDEP runs over 70 world-class programs each year, co-created and regularly updated in collaboration with international HR and L&D specialists from our member companies, learning partners and faculty from many of the world’s top business schools. We offer two types of programs: 

  • Multi-Company Programs that allow participants to peer-learn with peers from other companies, and
  • Custom Programs which are highly customised and tailored to the unique culture and strategic objectives of your company.

All of our programs can be delivered in person, either at our residential campus in France or wherever you are in the world, online or as a blend of both.

Owned and Operated by CEDEP and launched in early 2024, the International Institute of Leadership and Safety Culture (IILSC) is a global hub for safety leaders and professionals to meet, talk, learn and create safety excellence. Through executive education, consulting, prestigious events, and digital learning, IILSC is creating a worldwide network of leaders from the C-suite, the OSH profession, and beyond that will drive advances in health and safety at work.
